why's there so much vinyl on tonefloat?
simply because we love every aspect of it. we believe vinyl provides a much more dedicated way of listening to music than you can ever experience than by just slipping in that cd, or opening that mediaplayer. we just love to pick a disc out a gatefold sleeve, put it on a turntable and let the needle do its work.

can i send in my demo for a release on tonefloat?
you can, but it's not very advisable. we usually rely on our artists and contacts for new releases. other than that, we're not the kind of label that promotes young and upcoming bands, but we try to give existing acts a new audience by releasing music on vinyl.

what record plant does tonefloat use?
we are using record industry since 2004, since it's not only the company that delivers us the best possible quality, it's also a group of people who know what they're talking about and follow us in our sometimes odd requirements. having a haarlem, netherlands, based plant to work with, means that we can have optimal levels of communication which results in the best possible releases.

why are tonefloat records so expensive, especially in dollars?
the fact that we opt for quality implies that we have left behind the cheaper, less quality plants. other than that, we press our records on 180 grams, use strong innerbags, and pack our releases in the heaviest possible cardboard sleeves, mostly gatefold. we also think we treat our artists generously by giving them an above standard part of the pie, either in royalties or a share of the records pressed. the current bad conversion rate from euro to dollar make our records especially expensive in dollar orientated countries - but please blame the ones to blame for that.

i have a store. can i buy tonefloat records at a wholesale price?
of course you can, please contact us via tonefloat@crazy-diamond.nl with your enquiries, so that we can provide you with details.
