Following a concert at an international Pink Floyd Convention, the band gets in
touch with Crazy Diamond, a company which has justed started a new record label
called ToneFloat. In May 1997 ToneFloat release its first Use Of Ashes recording, the
beautiful Moongarden, on white vinyl. This single marks the first recording in the
bands current line-up featuring Maarten Scherrenburg and Peter van Vliet. ToneFloat
also reissues the Fire Tree album on high quality double vinyl in 1998. This album,
limited to one hundred copies only, contains a previously unreleased suite called
Under The Black Sun, which is instantly regarded as a highlight in the band's
oeuvre. Fuzzy guitars, astounding mellotrons and the band's introvert setting make
this suite into an instant classic.
